LIMA — The annual St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital fundraising concert will feature Dustin Lynch tonight at Veterans Memorial Civic Center.

Sponsored annually by radio station 92.1 The Frog, the concert is paired with the station’s annual radiothon.

“They have $2 million dollars per day in operating expenses,” said station program manager Dave Woodward. “We like to help out with what we can.”

Woodward said the concert and radiothon help raise about $60,000 for the children’s hospital. Lynch lends star power to those efforts. His hits “Cowboys and Angels” and “Where It’s At (Yep Yep)” have hit No. 2 and No. 1 on the country charts, respectively, as well as hitting the overall sales chart. His two albums “Dustin Lynch” and “Where It’s At” hit No. 1 and No. 2 on the country album charts, with his sophomore effort cracking the top 10 overall on the overall chart.

The station has scheduled an after party. Local band Nickel Plate Line will open for country/southern rock band Cadillac Three at the Ohio Theatre. Cadillac Three has reached national fame with “The South” and “Party Like You.”

“We are hoping everyone will want to continue the party and move over to the Ohio Theatre,” Woodward said.
