Lima Central Catholic graduate Billy Taflinger was named to the all-tournament team after scoring 59 points in three games for Bluffton University’s men’s basketball team when it finished runner-up to Defiance in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference tournament.

Taflinger, a 6-foot junior guard, was Bluffton’s No. 2 scorer on the season at 9.6 points a game and was second in assists.

—Lima Senior’s Kendall Jackson is averaging 7.5 points and 3.1 rebounds a game for Claflin University in Orangeburg, South Carolina.

Jackson, a 6-foot, 5-inch senior, has started four of Claflin’s 28 games.

—Waynesfield-Goshen’s girls basketball career scoring leader Kaylee Patton is averaging 12.2 points a game for Tiffin University’s women’s basketball team.

The 5-foot, 9-inch sophomore guard is second in scoring and assists for Tiffin and leads the team in 3-point field goals. She was a three-time Northwest Central Conference Player of the Year and scored 1,992 points in her career at Waynesfield-Goshen.

—Delphos Jefferson’s Kennedy Boggs was honorable mention Mountain East Conference in women’s basketball for Urbana University.

The 5-foot, 5-inch junior guard averaged 12.0 points, 4.1 rebounds and 3.6 assists a game. She led Urbana in 3-point shooting with 36 threes.

—Bath graduate Alyssa Brandon is averaging 4.7 points a game for Malone University’s women’s basketball team.

Brandon, a 5-foot, 11-inch senior guard, is second on the team in 3-point shots and had a season-high 18 points against Ashland when he hit six 3-pointers.

—Delphos Jefferson’s Ryan Ebbeskotte, a senior guard, averaged 4.4 points a game for Bluffton University this season. He started 53 games the last two seasons.

—Cam Etzler, the point guard on Crestview’s Division IV state champion team last season, is averaging 2.8 points and 1.2 rebounds a game at Anderson University.

Bluffton’s Levi Gleason, a 6-foot, 6-inch junior, is averaging 2.7 points and 2.4 rebounds a game for Anderson.
