Bath defeats top-ranked Marion Local in girls hoops

MARIA STEIN — Alyssa Manley (19), Maddie Dackin (18) and Cassie Best (12) all scored in double digits as Bath, ranked No. 5 in Division II, defeated D-IV top-ranked Marion Local 62-43 in girls basketball Tuesday night.

Bath improved to 17-1 on the season while Marion Local fell to 18-2.

ROCKFORD — Bailee Kuhn had 11 points and Abby Waddle scored nine for Elida. Kayle Heckler led Parkway with 11 points.

KALIDA — Allison Recker (16), Jackie Gardner (12) and Kylie Osterhage (10) all scored in double digits for Kalida.

Coldwater 49, Wapakoneta 42

WAPAKONETA — Sarah Kanney had 14 points and Brooke Welsh scored 12 fpr Coldwater. Riley Culver had 11 points and Carly Buzzard scored 10 for Wapak.

ADA — Ohio Northern got victories at 133, 157, 165 and 285 pounds but it was not enough as No. 13-ranked Baldwin Wallace edged the ONU 18-12 on Tuesday night at the ONU Sports Center.

The Polar Bears fell to 14-5 overall and 2-2 in the Ohio Athletic Conference, while the Yellow Jackets improved to 16-6 overall and 3-1 in the OAC.
