LIMA — Residents in the northwest Perry Township neighborhood will be able to receive free smoke detectors from 1 to 5 p.m. Monday, part of a five-year national Red Cross Home Fire Preparedness campaign.
There will be a limited supply of smoke detectors available, so any interested residents in that neighborhood are asked to call neighborhood association president Mary Williamson at 419-227-2139 to make a reservation. Otherwise, the detectors will be given out on a first-come, first-served basis.
Residents unable to get a detector will be put on a waiting list to receive a free detector at a future date.
