COLUMBUS — Ohio State swimmer Josh Fleagle, of St. Marys, has been named Big Ten Swimmer of the Week.
This is the second time this season Fleagle has won this award.
Last week Fleagle won the 200 freestyle (1:37.74) and was on the winning 400 medley relay and 200 freestyle relay against West Virginia and won the 50 freestyle (20.08), the 100 freestyle (44.24) and was on the winning 400 freestyle relay in a tri-meet against Louisville and Indiana.
Fleagle has recorded NCAA provisional qualifying marks in the 50 freestyle, 100 freestyle and 200 freestyle. On the latest USA Swimming NCAA Division I Top Times chart, he ranks sixth in the 200 freestyle, 12th in the 100 freestyle and 15th in the 50 freestyle.
