LIMA — Lima Allen Council on Community Affairs will continue to provide residents of Allen, Auglaize and Mercer counties with utility bill assistance through March 31.
The Winter Crisis Program provides bill pay assistance for residents who have either received disconnection notices or had their gas or electric service shut off. Bulk customers with 25 percent or less available in their fuel tank, along with coal and wood customers, can also qualify for help.
To be eligible, families must earn a household income below 175 percent of the federal poverty guideline. For a family of four, this would be $41,737.50 or less per year. For more information or to schedule an appointment, call 855-286-7559.
