Jury seated in Church trial

LIMA — A jury is seated, and the trial with start Wednesday in the case of a man facing the death penalty for allegedly killing two people and burning a house to cover it up.

Attorneys seated a jury around 2 p.m. Monday in the case of Hager Church. Church faces two counts of aggravated murder and one count of aggravated arson in the deaths of Massie “Tina” Flint, 45, and her boyfriend, Rex Hall, 54. He is accused of beating Flint, then starting a fire at 262 N. Pine St., to cover it up on June 14, 2009.

The trial will begin with opening statements Wednesday morning. The jury includes eight men and four women with four alternates.
