800 block of Mackenzie Drive, Lima — Monday, a man called the Lima Police Department stating the IRS had notified him that someone used his information to file his 2014 taxes. The man said the IRS would not tell him who filed his taxes or where the refund was sent.

300 block of West Spring Street, Lima — A man reported that a man came to his front door asking if he wanted to work for $50 Monday. The victim told the man he didn’t want to, but invited him in and said that he may know of someone who would. The victim left his residence to ask the friend if he wanted the job and left the man inside his home. When the victim returned, he noticed his cellphone was missing. The man said if he wanted his phone back, he would have to pay him $50 and left.

800 block of West North Street, Lima — Officers responded to a report of a house being shot at. When officers spoke to the resident, the woman said the second floor of her home had been shot at. A bullet traveled through the wall and landed on a towel hanging in the restroom. There were no reported injuries and no suspects.

691 S. Main St., Lima — Officers responded to a report of theft from a Dollar General on Monday. An older man reportedly stole coffee creamer.

1000 block of Bellefontaine Avenue, Lima — Officers responded to an assault report Monday.

500 block of West Kibby Street, Lima — Officers responded to an assault report Monday. A man reported that he suspected his girlfriend stole $60 from him. When he confronted her, she struck him in the face and fled the scene.

800 block of Madison Avenue, Lima — Officers reponded to a sex offense Monday.

500 block of North Elizabeth Street, Lima — Officers responded to a dispute with a knife Monday.

600 block of South Sugar Street, Lima — A man reported that an unknown person entered into his home by unknown means Monday.

300 block of South Leonard Avenue, Lima — A man reported a neighboring juvenile threw eggs at his driveway Saturday.

5400 block of River Ridge, Elida — The Allen County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of domestic violence Saturday. A woman got into a fight with another victim and used a gun for intimidation.

401 E. North St., Elida — ACSO officers investigated reports of inappropriate posts on Instagram and Twitter at Elida High School on Jan. 20 and Jan. 21. The complaint was made by the EHS principal.

1800 block of Harding Highway, Lima — A man was arrested Monday for trespassing and made threats to an ACSO deputy.
