UNOH nabs 19th victory in men’s hoops

DETROIT — The University of Northwestern Ohio men’s basketball team improved to 19-6 overall and 14-3 in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference with a 86-64 victory over Marygrove on Wednesday night.

Lawrence Jackson (16), Aaron Cross (16) and Deion Robinson (10) all scored in double digits for the Racers.

Bluffton 72, Manchester 58

BLUFFTON — Bluffton University used a fast start to push its way past the Spartans to improve 10-10 overall and 6-7 in the HCAC, while the Spartans fell to 5-15 overall with a 4-9 mark in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference.

Josh Woodrich (16), Austin Rohde (15), Thayne Recker (14) and Ryan Ebbeskotte (12) all scored in double digits for the Bluffton.

Wilmington 80, ONU 61

WILMINGTON — Lucas Pennington scored 16 points and Konnor Baker added 11 points for the visiting Polar Bears.

Manchester 64, Bluffton 55

NORTH MANCHESTER, Ind. — Manchester University used a 17-5 run to begin the second half to propel the Spartans to a victory. The Bluffton loss was a key one in the HCAC standings, as the Beavers fell to 8-5 and fourth place in the conference. They are 13-7 overall. Manchester improved to 10-10 and 7-6 in the HCAC which ties the Spartans for fifth.

Taylor Whitaker led Bluffton with 19 points.

UNOH 84, Marygrove 58

DETROIT — Madison Coldren had 28 points and Natalie Billing scored 13 for the Racers.
