COLUMBUS — Second-team Associated Press All-Ohioan Katwan Singleton hit two free throws with 14.3 seconds left and then blocked a shot to lead Defiance to a 46-45 victory over five-time champion Dayton Dunbar (22-6) in a Division II state semifinal Friday.
The Bulldogs (26-2), playing in their first state tournament since 1940, advance to meet Cleveland Central Catholic (24-4) in today’s title game.

COLUMBUS — Rodrick Caldwell scored 17 points, including two foul shots in overtime, to lead Huber Heights Wayne (25-4) to a win over defending champion Lakewood St. Edward (21-6).
Mike Ryan scored 14 and Derek Funderburk 13 for the Eagles.
