Wapak, St. Marys to meet in district semifinal

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Western Buckeye League and Auglaize County foes Wapakoneta and St. Marys will play at 8 p.m. Wednesday in a Division II district semifinal after earning sectional final victories Friday night at Riverdale High School.

Keaton Metz (22), Corey Crawford (11) and Ethan Good (10) all scored in double digits as Wapak defeated Upper Sandusky 60-44.

St. Marys advance with a 65-56 win against Shawnee. Josh Young (24), Derek Jay (18) and Nathan Wilker (10) all scored in double digits for St. Marys. Jaden O’Neal (14), JaQuan Tucker (12), Zach Casey (11) and Angelo Fox (10) all reached double digit points for Shawnee.

Division III

St. Henry 82, Bloomdale Elmwood 39

FINDLAY — Ryan Mikesell had 29 points and Mitch Stammen (11) and Evan Prenger (10) also scored in double digits as St. Henry advanced to the Ada district where it will take on Liberty-Benton, a 61-36 winner over Van Wert, at 8 p.m. Thursday.

Ottawa-Glandorf 64, Evergreen 43

WAUSEON — Ottawa-Glandorf advanced to play Paulding at 6:15 p.m. Thursday at Anthony Wayne High School in Whitehouse.

Noah Bramlage had 23 points and Brad Recker scored 10 for the Titans.

Paulding 55, Liberty Center 51

WAUSEON — Treston Gonzales and Alex Arellano had 18 points each and Corbin Edwards scored 11 for Paulding.

Swanton 53, Bluffton 50

DEFIANCE — Levi Kistler had 22 points and Mitchell Ault scored nine for Bluffton.

Division IV

Leipsic 48, Crestview 47

VAN WERT — Leipsic outscored Crestview 11-10 the final period to advance to the Elida district where the Vikings will play at 6:15 p.m. Tuesday against Delphos St. John’s. Nate Brecht had 14 points and Matt Schroeder scored 11 for Leipsic. Conner Lautzenheiser had 25 points and Mitchell Rickard scored 12 for Crestview.

VAN WERT — Delphos St. John’s was not outscored in any quarter on its way to winning the sectional title. Tyler Conley (13), Alex Odenweller (12) and Andy Grothouse (11) all scored in double digits for St. John’s. Trevor Neate had 10 points and Haydin Ludwig scored eight for Lincolnview.

Marion Local 87, Ridgemont 36

COLDWATER — Marion Local moved on to play New Bremen in a 6:15 p.m. district semifinal Tuesday at Wapakoneta High School. Ryan Bruns (16), Dustin Seitz (14), Luke Knapke (11) and Collin Mescher (10) all scored in double figures for the Flyers.

New Bremen 71, Ada 45

COLDWATER — Carson Manger had 17 points and Alex Britton scored 14 for New Bremen. Blake Willeke had 16 points and Grant McBride scored eight for Ada.

Edgerton 59, Continental 31

BRYAN — Joey Swager led Continental with nine points.
