Bluffton upends Columbus Grove in NWC

BLUFFTON — Bluffton used a 15-2 second quarter run to defeat Columbus Grove 58-48 in the Northwest Conference.

Bret Rumer had 15 points and Mitchell Ault scored 14 for the host Pirates (12-6 overall and 2-4 in the NWC). Jace Darbyshire had 23 points and David Bogart scored nine for Columbus Grove, which fell to 12-6 overall and 4-2 in the league.

Delphos St. John’s 57, Versailles 55

VERSAILLES — In the lead almost the entire game, St. John’s prevented Versailles from pulling out a win in the final seconds.

It was the Tigers’ first home loss this season.

Tim Kreeger (14), Andy Grothouse (13), Alex Odenweller (12) and Tyler Conley (11) all scored in double digits for St. John’s.

Spencerville 52, Delphos Jefferson 41

SPENCERVILLE — The host Bearcats improved to 12-4 on the season and 6-1 in the conference. Zach Goecke had 14 points and Bailey Croft scored 12 for Spencerville. Tre Smith had 16 points and Jay Stockwell scored nine for Delphos Jefferson.

Crestview 62, Allen East 50

HARROD — Crestview remained in contention for the NWC title with only one league loss. Connor Lautzenheiser (23), Mitchell Rickard (17) and Cody Mefferd (16) all scored in double digits for Crestview. Luke Perkins had 16 points and Logan Ryan scored 12 for 6-13 Allen East (2-5 in the NWC).

Temple Christian 56, Riverside 41

LIMA — Brock Bowman had 19 points and Markus Howell and Michael Breaston scored 10 each for Temple Christian.

Kalida 57, Miller City 40

KALIDA — Devin Kortokrax had 21 points and Drew Hovest scored nine for Kalida. Max Kehlman had 11 points and Adam Drummelsmith scored nine for Miller City.

Coldwater 60, Minster 53

COLDWATER — Derek Thobe had 20 points and Aaron Harlamert scored nine for Coldwater. Mathew Trushaw had 18 points and Gabe Goodwin scored 10 for Minster.

Liberty Benton 81, Hardin Northern 20

FINDLAY — Storm Drummer had eight points to lead Hardin Northern.

Continental 51, Ottoville 39

CONTINENTAL — Gabe Williams (16), Trevor Williamson (13) and Derek Froyer (10) all scored in double digits for Continental. Brandt Landin led Ottoville with 14 points.

Wapakoneta 65, St. Marys 53

WAPAKONETA — Adam Henderson (21), Aaron Huffman (15) and Corey Crawford (12) all scored in double digits for Wapakoneta, which improved to 10-9 overall and 3-4 in the Western Buckeye League.

ADA — Chandler Adams had 18 points and Justis Dowdy scored 13 for Lincolnview. Blake Willieke had 17 points and Grant McBride scored 11 for Ada.

NEW KNOXVILLE — Micaiah Cox had 18 points and Chase Bruns scored 12 for Fort Recovery. Jalen Fullenkamp (27), Andrew Arnett (16) and Adam Howe (10) all scored in double digits for New Knoxville.

Marion Local 67, New Bremen 58

NEW BREMEN — Dustin Rethman (18), Luke Knapke (16), Ryan Bruns 13 and Cole Griesdorn (12) all scored in double digits for Marion Local. Carson Manger had 24 points and Nolan Fox scored 10 for New Bremen.

Kenton 71, Bath 57

KENTON — Colyn Blackford had 23 points and Austin Phillips scored 21 for Kenton. Andrew Renner had 28 points and Chase Clark scored 12 for Bath.

St. Henry 67, Parkway 41

ROCKFORD — Ryan Mikesell (16), Evan Prenger (15), Mitchel Stammen (13) and Caleb Bender (11) a;l finished in double digits for St. Henry. Tanner Bates led Parkway with 24 points.

LEIPSIC — Jordan Brown had 18 points to lead Leipsic.
