DELPHOS — The 1934 Ford three-window coupe is immortalized in American popular culture. It is the subject of racing and rodding tales, and has been for more than 80 years. The three window coupe is a style of automobile characterized by two side windows and a back window. This style was popular from the 1920s until the beginning of World War II. The 1932 to 1936 Ford is a particular favorite of hot rodders. Young, backyard mechanics quickly discovered the high speed potential of a light roadster or fenderless 1933/1934 highboy coupe. These cars could be found for a mere $50 at the end of World War II. Sixty years later, car enthusiasts are clamoring for more of these hot rods, and custom packages can be purchased to build your own hot rod. Keith Miller, of Delphos, brought his 1934 Ford Three-window Highboy Coupe to The Lima News’ Real Wheels Cruise-In. He has owned it for two years. His best memory of the car is getting it done and finally driving it.
