CLOVERDALE — The 1963 Chevy Impala is one of the most popular collector cars. The Chevy Impala has been an American legend for decades, as total sales would end up exceeding 13 million units. In 1963, the car featured pointier front and rear fenders, which emphasized the long, low, sleek design of the popular 60s cars. The engine was so popular that the Beach Boys created a hit with their song, “409.” Although the song never mentions a car, it was well known that the Chevy Impala had the “409” engine.

Bill Ellerbrock, of Cloverdale, brought his 1963 Chevy Impala Convertible to The Lima News’ Real Wheels Cruise-In. The long, sleek beauty turns heads as he drives his personal museum down the streets.
