LIMA — One lucky child and his family will be on their way to Walt Disney World soon.

One of the 20,000 eggs available to children will contain the trip package during the fourth annual iHeart Media Easter Egg Hunt, presented by Potash Corp. The event will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at Spartan Stadium.

“It is an event that is a lot of fun,” said iHeart Media representative Matt Bell.

Bell said one kid will win a chance to pick the very first egg out of the 20,000, giving him or her the first crack at the trip to Florida. The Easter Bunny and Sparty will be there for photos. Other activities include face painting, K9 units, the Buckeye Video Game Truck and various contests.

Bell said the event, which was held at Apollo Career Center the first three years, has been moved this year to Spartan stadium due to construction. The number of eggs available was doubled from 10,000 to 20,000.

“We expect there to be 1,500 to 2,000 children who will be searching,” Bell said. “With it being held on the turf, I think it will be lots of fun.”

Bell said the event would be held rain or shine. Children will be broken into age groups to search for eggs.
