More farmers needed like this

The best farmer I ever read about, 40 years ago, took his 400 acres and planted them with six different deep rooted high protein grasses. Half went into pasture and half into hay production. He rotated his animals and foul through his pastures leaving the used pasture to sit idle for three days so parasites in the manure would die. His wagon mounted chicken houses were moved to the pastures per his rotation plan. The hay fed his stock during the winter. He spent no money for fertilizer, weed-killer, insecticide or seeds. The meat from his, organic grass fed, operation is so prized, people from three states travel to his farm to purchase his meat products to the tune of many thousands of dollars per acre.

Now folks that’s a farmer.

It would be truly a blessing if all farm land within 200 miles of Lake Erie were to switch to this method of farming.
