Apollo to host job fair

LIMA — More than 35 local employers with job openings will be in one place Wednesday.

Apollo Career Center is hosting a Job and Career Fair, which is open to the public, from 3 to 6 p.m. Wednesday.

The fair will take place in Apollo’s Commons area, which is the “area’s largest anticipated job fair in years,” acccording to a release from the center.

“The demand for skilled employees is very high, which is good news for residents looking for a job throughout the region,” Rick Turner, director of Apollo Adult Education, said in a statement.

There’s never been a better time to upgrade your skills, he said.

A wide range of companies and industries will be at the job fair, including manufacturing, healthcare and transportation.

Among the companies expected to attend are Honda North America, Crown Equipment, Vanamatic, AAP St. Marys Corp., Flexarm, Nidec Minster Corporation, Toledo Mold and Die, Celina Aluminum Precision Technology, Lima Memorial Health System, Van Wert Medical Services, HCF, NTB Trucking, Midwest Logistics, Cheeseman LLC, Garner Transportation, Spherion, Kelly Services, Custom Staffing, Interim Healthcare and many more.
