LIMA — Midwest Electric has donated $12,800 to eight west-central Ohio charities and community projects through the company’s Community Connection Fund.
Included in those agencies is Lima’s American Red Cross to help with local disaster assistance.
Since the program began in 1998, the Midwest Electric Community Connection Fund has provided $851,485 to 678 area projects.
The Midwest Electric Community Connection Fund is a voluntary charitable program. Participating members’ monthly electric bills are rounded up to the next dollar, with the additional pennies deposited in the fund.
