LIMA — A local award will recognize those in companies and organizations who are sticklers for safety.
The West Central Ohio Safety Council is looking for nominations for the Ruth Kreher Safety Person of the Year Award.
Those who will be considered “demonstrate the highest level of safety” in a company, according to a release from the council.
Nominees must also be someone who supports the safety program with input and suggestions, promotes a safe workplace and follows company policies and procedures, acts as a safety mentor to newer employees and who is not someone who has safety as their primary job function.
