WAPAKONETA — Several local churches in the Wapakoneta area will host a poverty simulation from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Feb. 23 at St. Paul United Church of Christ in Wapakoneta.
During the course of the evening, participants will experience the struggles of a low-income family. Participants in the simulation will gain a greater understanding of the challenges faced every day by people who are struggling to make ends meet.
The event is co-sponsored by St. Paul UCC, First United Methodist Church and the Petersburg Parishes, and is presented by representatives of Partners in Hope in Troy.
Light refreshments will be served. The event is free, although pre-registration is required.
