BLUFFTON — Jeanette Kidd, of rural Bluffton, is celebrating her 90th birthday today, April 5, 2015. A surprise party was held for her yesterday. A private family dinner is planned for today.
She was born April 5, 1925, to William and Eunice Stephens. On February 14, 1944, she married E. Wayne Kidd, and he died Feb. 25, 2010.
Kidd has eight children, Duane (Jane) Kidd, of Forest; Carolyn Karr, of Washington; Vicky (Bill) Bauman, of Jenera; Ron (Mary) Kidd of Kentucky; Darrell Kidd, of Jenera; Marilyn (Earl) Shaffer, of Gallaway; Rick (Jill Jewett) Kidd, of Bluffton and Sue (Lou) Fylling, of Michigan. She has 15 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Some of Jeanette’s pastimes include sewing, quilting, reading, cooking, baking and gardening. She has been a lifelong homemaker and past dairy farmer. She is also a member of Riley Creek Baptist Church.
