Alice and Joseph Lammers

LEIPSIC — Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Lammers, of Leipsic, celebrated 60 years of marriage Dec. 29, 2014. A Mass of Thanksgiving was held Dec. 28th, at Holy Family Church, in New Cleveland. A family brunch followed.

Lammers and the former Alice Krietemeyer were married Dec. 29, 1954, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, in Fort Jennings, by the Rev. John Miller.

They are the parents of eight children, Gary (Tina) Lammers, of Dayton, Kathy (Dave) Burkhart, of Glandorf, Marlene Haubert, of Tiffin, Carol (Kevin) Lafountain, of Williamsburg, VA, John (Joyce) Lammers, of Findlay, Dale (Kim) Lammers, of Howell, MI, Beth (Greg) Ruhe, of Leipsic and Rick Lammers, of New Albany. They have 17 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Joseph is a retired farmer, school treasurer and painter. His wife is a retired registered nurse and an active volunteer for hospice and Miller City Schools.
