LIMA — Mr. and Mrs. Richard H. Riggs, of Lima, will celebrate 65 years of marriage Jan. 28, 2015. Two of their children hosted a celebration with dinner and the Symphony’s Mozart by Candlelight Concert on Jan. 17th.
Riggs and the former Norma Hurst were married Jan. 28, 1950, in East Cleveland Congregational Church by the Rev. Earle C. Hochwald.
They are the parents of three children, Thomas (Elaine) Riggs, of Dallas, TX, Carol (Steve) Spackey, of Cleveland Heights and Jonathan (Tamera) Riggs, of Maumee. They have seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Riggs retired as owner of radio stations WCIT and WLSR in 1986. He and his wife have been active in community service for many years including the Lima Symphony Orchestra, Christian Science Church and Lima Rotary Club, etc.
