LIMA — Donald A. Dieringer, of Lima, will celebrate his 90th birthday Jan. 30, 2015. A family celebration will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Jan. 31, 2015 at Immanuel United Methodist Church, 699 Sunnydale St., Elida. Cards can be sent to him c/o Primrose Assisted Living, 3500 W. Dieringer was born Jan. 30, 1925 to Henry and Catherine Dieringer. After serving in the Army during WWII, he married Marcella “Sis” Wienken on July 17, 1948. They lived in Lima for more than 64 years before she died on June 9, 2013.
He has one son, Mark (Kaille) Dieringer; and one daughter, Karen (Timothy) Swick. One son, Gregory Dieringer is deceased. He has six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Dieringer is a retired sheet metal worker, a life member of Lima Memorial Health System Auxiliary, a member of St. Charles Catholic Church and the Spencerville VFW.
He loves spending time with his family, friends and residents of Primrose Assisted Living.
