Thorn: To everyone who could’ve avoided a mistrial in the case of Patrick Kollars, accused of blinding his son. We understand court officials’ distraction at helping his blind son to the witness stand, but someone — a bailiff, the judge or either side’s attorney — should’ve spoken up when they forgot to swear him in before testifying.
Rose: To people who put such effort and creativity into Halloween decorations. Thanks for finding the fun in the world.
