Vaughnsville man pleads not guilty to drug possession

LIMA — A Vaughnsville man recently pleaded not guilty in Allen County Common Pleas Court to a second-degree drug possession charge.

Court documents allege William Pitney, 41, was found during a traffic stop with methamphetamine greater than 25 grams found on the floor of a car underneath him while he was the front passenger.

Pitney is currently being held in the Allen County Jail on a $200,000 bond. Pitney’s attorney, Assistant Public Defender Megan McLean, filed a motion Friday to modify Pitney’s bond to $25,000.
