Rigali honored for uniform sharing project

LIMA — ARC for Lima founder Leslie Rigali received the community service award during the Ohio School Board Association Northwest Region’s fall conference Thursday night, according to a news release from the nonprofit organization.

Rigal started Project Uniform Share last year to collect, sort and wash gently used uniforms donated for students at Lima schools.

ARC for Lima has collected and purchased 1,500 uniform items for Lima schools in nine months since the project’s inception, according to the release.

ARC began in 2011, partnering with communities in the greater Kruger Park region to improve lives of children. It has also supported Family Promise with needed items and helps the annual Fresh N Faded Back to School event.
