State invests in local ODOT roundabout projects

LIMA — Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine announced the investment of $63 million for projects to reduce crashes on Ohio roads, including two Allen County projects.

The Ohio Department of Transportation’s Highway Safety Improvement Program will fund 19 projects in 14 counties, including 12 roundabout constructions and cable barrier installations.

Local roundabout projects set to receive funding will include intersections at state Route 501 and Amanda Road and state Route 117 and Kemp Road.

ODOT will fund the first at $3.5 million and the second at $3.85 million to be completed in 2029.
