OhioHealth gives Van Wert YMCA $100,000 for new building

VAN WERT — The YMCA of Van Wert County is receiving a $100,000 commitment from OhioHealth for a new building.

“The facility will house an array of programs to address housing needs and better serve women, children, and families,” said Kimberly Laudick, YMCA of Van Wert County president and CEO.

Since 1916, the YMCA of Van Wert County has served the community from the same facility.

“We are thrilled to be able to support this anchor in our community to make sure that the vital services they provide are available for years to come,” said Joy Bischoff, president of OhioHealth Van Wert Hospital.

A check presentation will be held at the YMCA of Van Wert County at noon on Oct. 24.
