This is an open letter to Allen County Democrats.
Hi, I know you are out there, hiding in plain sight. I know it’s hard to be a Democrat in this county, one that is among “the reddest in the state,” as an old friend reminded me. But it is now time to “put our big girl (and boy) panties on” and make ourselves known.
“All it takes for evil to succeed is for good men to do nothing” is a quote often credited to Edmund Burke. So, in the words of Michelle Obama, “Do something!” Educate yourself regarding the election, volunteer with the Democratic Party, get a sign and put it in your front yard, talk with your family and friends or volunteer to be a poll worker.
This is vital, because “when we fight, we win,” with credit to Vice President Kamala Harris. And when we hide, we lose. The nation will lose if we re-elect Donald Trump.
