WAPAKONETA — A Wapakoneta student’s design will be featured in promotional materials for the Ohio School Safety Center in October.
The organization selected Arabella George’s slogan, “Safety begins with teamwork,” for its School Safety Month promotions.
“I was bullied as a kid for a bunch of things,” said George, a senior at Wapakoneta High School and Apollo Career Center. “The kids that were supposed to be looking out for me, didn’t. They watched me get picked on and let it slide.”
The School Safety Center is urging parents and students to report suspicious activity to the Safer Ohio School Tip Line so officials can investigate.
The tip line is free and anonymous via call, text, webform or mobile application 24 hours a day to 844-SaferOH (844-723-3726).
Tips are forwarded to school officials, local law enforcement and the School Safety Center.
