ONU named ‘best value’ in the Midwest in latest U.S. News report

ADA — Ohio Northern and Bluffton University claimed high marks in the latest U.S. News & World Report college guide.

ONU ranked second in the Midwest and first as the best value school in the Midwest for maintaining high academic quality relative to the cost of tuition and fees.

The college’s engineering program earned high marks as well tying for No. 12 nationally as the best undergraduate engineering program where no doctorate is offered.

Bluffton University tied for No. 29 in the Midwest and tied for No. 11 for social mobility or schools where a high percentage of economically disadvantaged students graduate.

Elsewhere in the region, Ohio State University-Lima tied for No. 14 in the best public schools ranking. The college ranked No. 71 in the Midwest overall.

Ohio Northern

Tuition and fees: $39,600

Undergraduate enrollment: 2,592 for fall 2023
