LIMA — The Lima Exchange Club distributed $8,750 in total donations Monday to 12 Lima-area organizations, all of which contribute to the Exchange Club’s core mission of aiding in the welfare of young people.
One donation was made in conjunction with funds from the Lima Eagles 370 Charity Foundation. That donation, totaling $2,000, went to Heart and Sole, a non-profit dedicated to providing new shoes for Lima grade-school children in need.
The other donations given Monday during the club’s meeting at Milano Cafe were:
• Allen County D.A.R.E. Program, $1,000
• Lima Youth Roller Hockey, $1,000
• Samaritan House of Lima, $1,000
• St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, $500
• Crime Victim Services, $500
• National Exchange Club Foundation, $500
• Rally Point Youth Center, $500
• Equestrian Therapy Program, $500
• Northwest Ohio Literacy Council, $500
• OHENEBA Soccer Academy, $500
• Ohio Youth Golf Clinic, $250
