Hardin, Van Wert counties to receive infrastructure funding

COLUMBUS — Gov. Mike DeWine announced a $18.2 million investment for neighborhood revitalization and critical infrastructure Thursday, with $500,000 going to Hardin County and $750,000 going to Van Wert County.

Hardin County’s critical infrastructure grant will help the village of Ridgeway to enhance flood control and drainage systems by paying for the county’s installation of multiple manholes, catch basin inlets, and more than 1,000 feet of storm sewer lines to benefit 314 people.

Van Wert County’s neighborhood revitalization grant will go toward flood and drainage improvements, sewer facilities improvements and water facilities improvements to benefit 535 people in the village of Middle Point.

The total of the funding will go to 32 other counties across the state.
