Lima Symphony Orchestra Wine Tasting

The Lima Symphony Orchestra will host its annual Wine Tasting and Auction at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 19 at 19 Hawthorne, 1000 Fetter Road, Lima.

Anyone can purchase tickets to enjoy music, hors d’oeurves, hand-selected wines and auction items that benefit the orchestra.

Batman Day

Batman Day will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21 at Alter Ego Comics, 230 N. Main St., Lima.

Batman fans can celebrate the Caped Crusader for free by dressing up and enjoying giveaways, special edition comics and Batman trivia.

Here’s to Our Health Block Party

11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday

Mercy Health will host the Here’s to Our Health Block Party from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21 at the CLNA Reading Park, 938 W. North St., Lima.

The West Ohio Food Bank will distribute food with community vendors, food trucks, a DJ and a photo booth on hand as well as cornhole, face painting, a bike helmet distribution, free food and prizes.

The event will also have preventive health screenings and blood pressure checks.

“Armadillo” by Joe Correll

The Avante Garage Theatre Company will host a reading of “Armadillo” by Joe Correll at 8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21 at the Ohio Theatre, 122 W. North St., Lima.

Anyone can reserve a spot for free in advance to view the rehearsed reading of Correll’s dark comedy on the Stage Door Canteen Cabaret Stage.

Thunderstruck

AC/DC Tribute Thunderstruck will perform at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21 at Pangle Pavilion, 128 E. Spring St., Lima.

Fall Craft Show: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday — Mercy Health- St. Rita’s will host its annual Fall Craft Show from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 19 at 730 W. Market St. in Lima.

There will be crafts, homemade buckeye candy, an Ohio State Raffle Basket, dog bandanas and treats, as well as gift shop items outside the auxiliary’s cafeteria.

Food trucks will also be on hand in the parking lot east of the event.

Admission is free, but all proceeds are donated to St. Rita’s and the greater Lima community.

• Laurel Oaks Hobby and Harvest Craft Fair: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday — Laurel Oaks Park will host its Annual Hobby and Harvest Craft Fair from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21 at 120 Chickadee Place in Elida.

Admission is $2 for adults and free for children 10 and under at the fair that boasts over 100 booths, shopping and food.

• Allen County Pickleball Tournament: All day Sunday — The Allen County Pickleball Tournament will run throughout Sunday, Sept. 22 at the Collett Street Tennis Courts, 900 S. Collett St., Lima.

All proceeds will go toward Habitat for Humanity and to build a fire station at Safety City.
