Lima considers 15 sites for brownfield assessment

LIMA — Fifteen sites have been submitted for consideration in Lima’s Brownfield Assessment Program, according to an announcement by the city’s workforce and small development department Wednesday.

The former Armory at 500 Liberty St.; the train exhibit area at Lincoln Park, 306-316 E. Elm St.; and the commercial warehouse at South Central Avenue and Reese Avenue are among the properties undergoing Phase I assessments to determine if they have been affected by historic use and if they need cleanup and redevelopment support.
