VAN WERT — The Van Wert Civic Theatre has announced the recipients of its awards for the 2023-2024 season, honoring cast members and devotees to the theater group.
The Company Choice award went to an individual chosen for special efforts made to each production. This year’s winners were Mary Ann Falk for “Disaster,” Austin and Gabrielle Sheets for “Sorry Wrong Chimney,” Jan Miller for “Misery” and Keith Allen for “Hands on a Hardbody.”
The Gypsy Robe award, presented to a chorus member in a musical, went to Courtney Wendel for “Disaster.” The People’s Choice award, presented to the production with the highest attendance, went to “Hands on a Hardbody.”
Dale Terry was presented with the Trustee award, going to an individual who has “demonstrated exceptional dedication, leadership and service to the theatre,” according to the release from the theatre.
