The Grand Lake LIA helped raise funds to plant trees in areas around Indian Lake where trees had been destroyed by a severe tornado in March.

LAKEWOOD — The Lake Improvement Corporation for Grand Lake helped raise $14,000 to replace trees lost in the March tornadoes in the vicinity of Indian Lake, according to a press release.
The donation came after the LIA executive board voted to donate $3,500 to replant lost trees. The donation was soon matched by the Indian Lake Development Corporation, the Indian Lake Watershed Project and the tree supplier.
The trees will be planted this fall in the areas of Moundwood and Fox Island, according to the release.
