DELPHOS POLICE DEPARTMENT

1000 block of South Clay Street, Delphos — Officers investigated a death June 25.

Police took a report of a woman being touched inappropriately by a man while on a date June 25.

Someone called police June 26 to report a woman lying beside the canal. Officers made contact with the woman who said she was just resting.

Police responded to a pedestrian who was struck by a vehicle June 26 in the crosswalk at the intersection of North Canal Street at West Fifth Street.

A woman was arrested for driving while under the influence and operating a vehicle without a driver’s license June 26.

A man was arrested for active warrants June 27.

Officers responded to a woman who was driving with her grandson in the car from Van Wert to Lima when he became unresponsive June 28. Delphos EMS responded and found the juvenile appeared to be suffering from a drug overdose.

A man called the police department to report a stolen license plate June 28.

A woman called the police department to report a stolen PlayStation 5 on June 28.

500 block of South Main Street, Delphos — Officers responded to a domestic violence situation June 29.

On June 29, Delphos police were asked to assist the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office in finding the driver of a rollover crash in which the driver fled and was believed to be a Delphos resident. A crash report from the sheriff’s office reads Daniel Lehmkuhle, 46, of Delphos, was traveling northbound on County Road 171 in a 1979 Chevrolet when he traveled off the right side of the roadway, then ran off the left side of the roadway, striking a ditch and overturning. The report said Lehmkuhle had suspected serious injuries. When Delphos police went to Lehmkuhle’s house, they found he had been taken to the hospital by a family member. He was cited with failure to control.
