Lima accepts Raising Cane’s building permit

LIMA — Records show that the process to establish a new fast-food restaurant on Eastown Road has begun.

According to a building permit from May 21, Kasada, LLC has filed paperwork to begin building a Raising Cane’s restaurant.

Kasada, a Baton Rouge business, bought the property at 2355 N. Eastown Road in Lima for $775,000 at the beginning of May.

Contractor Olio Development Group, based out of Columbus, will carry out the construction of the restaurant, which will feature a dual drive-thru and patio, for a cost of $2.1 million.

The building will go through the existing Lowe’s Home Improvement parking lot at the corner of N. Eastown Road and Elida Road.

Raising Cane’s has had job listings posted for a location in Lima since last June and was expected to open last winter.

Raising Cane’s, a restaurant that serves chicken tenders, started business in 1996 at Louisiana State University when CEO Todd Graves founded the business.

The Lima News reached out to a representative from Kasada for comment.
