Allen County Museum to hold fundraiser gala

LIMA — The theme for the Allen County Museum’s inaugural fundraiser gala this year on July 11 will be Discovery of Decades: The Roaring Twenties.

The event will be held at the former Louie’s Nite Club, 518 N. Main St., Lima, starting at 6:30 p.m. The theme will focus on a speakeasy feel with a backroom gambling hall, dancing to time-period appropriate jazz, prohibition-era cocktails, a basket raffle, a silent auction and more.

Tickets are available on Eventbrite at tinyurl.com/55sh4cpz or at the museum starting June 1 at $65 for members and $75 for non-members. The event is limited to 125 tickets. Anyone who is not a member can become one on Eventbrite or at the museum while purchasing tickets.

This event helps the museum raise funds to continue to bring note-worthy exhibitions and engaging programming to the community.

The Allen County Museum is located at 620 W. Market St., Lima. Museum hours are Tuesday through Friday from 1 to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 1 to 4 p.m. Summer hours from June 4 to Aug. 31 are Tuesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m.
