Ohio House passes rail safety bill

COLUMBUS — Ohio Rep. Jim Hoops, R-Napoleon, announced that the Ohio House of Representatives passed Stop, Look, and Listen, a House bill requiring drivers to stop for on-track equipment at railroad crossings.

House Bill 372 would change the Ohio Revised Code to force motorists to stop, look and listen when a train or other on-track equipment approaches.

The bill will move to the Senate next for consideration.
