Unity in the Community

Noon Saturday

Unity in the Community will be from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday, May 18 at Cook Park, at the corner of Prospect and Michael avenues in Lima.

Ayers Community Outreach and Pie’s Clothing Closet will provide free clothes for men, women and kids at the first edition of the annual event.

There will also be food giveaways, music, a kid zone and family fun.

Chris Janson and Lanco

4 p.m. Friday

Country artist Chris Janson will perform with Lano and other guest artists at 4 p.m. Friday, May 17 in the Schmidthorst Pavilion at the Allen County Fairgrounds at 2750 Harding Highway in Lima.

Janson will be joined by Colin Stough and Dan Wallace and The Dirt Road Disciples.

He will take the stage at 8:45 p.m.

St. Rose Festival

5 p.m. to midnight Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday

The St. Rose Festival will start with Adult Night at 5 p.m. until midnight Saturday, May 18 and end with Family Day from noon to 6 p.m. Sunday, May 19 at St. Rose Elementary School at 523 N. West St. in Lima.

Adults can get into Saturday’s activities for $2 while Sunday’s admission is free.

There will be games, rides and food.

Habitat for Humanity Coffee and Dessert Tasting

2-4 p.m. Saturday

Habitat for Humanity will present its annual coffee and dessert tasting event from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 18 at the City Club at the Veterans Memorial Civic Center.

Tickets will be limited to 100 and are available for $35 at habitatlima.org/coffee.

Vibe Coffeehouse and Cafe and the Meeting Place will provide samples of coffee, while Sara’s Sweets will pair them with desserts.

Buckeye Cruisers Antique Car Show

6-8 p.m. Friday

The Buckeye Cruisers will hold their Antique Car Show from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 17 at the Central District at 207 S. Central Ave. in Lima.

The antique car club will showcase some of its classic cars at the event for free admission.

Car Show at Midwest Shooting Center: 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, May 18 at Midwest Shooting Center. The MSC Car Show will be from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. May, 18 at Midwest Shooting Center at 501 S. Dixie Highway in Cridersville. Fundraising profits will go toward families affected by the Indian Lake Tornado.
