ELIDA — Elida High School senior Maddox Bell is a National Merit Scholarship finalist.
High school students enter the nationwide scholarship competition by taking the preliminary SAT or National Merit Scholarship qualifying test, which screens more than 1.3 million students each year. Less than 1% of graduating seniors advance to the finalist round.
