Prep Roundup: Columbus Grove holds off Kalida

Columbus Grove 44, Kalida 41

KALIDA — Trenton Barazza and Kyle Hopkins combined for seven triples, leading Columbus Grove (6-4) to a one-possession win over Kalida (2-12).

The Bulldogs trailed 20-19 at the break, and 34-33 after three, but outscored the Wildcats 12-7 in the fourth quarter.

Barazza paced Grove with 17 points, followed by Hopkins, who made all but one of his field goals from beyond the arc, with 16.

Kalida’s Jacob Siebeneck led all scorers with 19 points.

LCC 61, Elida 50

ELIDA — Jordan Priddy helped LCC (12-2) snap a two-game skid with 28 points against Elida.

Amari Wash the Bulldogs (9-4) with 19 points in their second loss of the weekend.

St. Marys 64, Coldwater 50

ST. MARYS — St. Marys improved to 9-4 on the season with a convincing non-league victory.

Evan Angstmann scored a game-high 24 points for the Roughriders.

Coldwater drops to 10-3 following the loss.

Baylen Blockberger paced the Cavaliers with 18 points.

Spencerville 63, Arlington 40

ARLINGTON — Carter Sudhoff tied his career high of 24 points, leading to Spencerville’s sixth straight victory.

Owen Sensabaugh added 16 points for the Bearcats (10-3).

Delphos Jefferson 33, Paulding 32

DELPHOS — Isaac Gallmeier hit a pair of clutch free throws with 10 seconds left to send the Wildcats (3-9) past Paulding (6-5).

Ada 52, Hardin Northern 49

ADA — Slade Gossman scored 15 points and hauled in seven boards, leading Ada to a three-point win over Hardin Northern.

The Bulldogs (3-11) also got 12 points from Levi Green and a stat-line of 10 points, six rebounds, and five steals from Kayleb Hickman.

Ada’s win snapped a four-game losing streak.

Defiance 45, Fairview 37

FAIRVIEW — Brogan Castillo led Defiance (6-8) to their second victory of the weekend with 12 points against Fairview.

Kahlil Ligon added 11 for the Bulldogs.

Fairview looked to Jackson Brady for 15 points.

Bluffton 63, Liberty-Benton 56

FINDLAY — Bluffton improved to 11-1 on the year behind strong performances from Wade Ginther, Blake Sommers and Kerry Wright against Liberty Benton.

Ginther led the way with a game-high 19 points for the Pirates. Sommers added 14 and Wright finished the night with 11 points.

Patrick Henry 68, Leipsic 42

LEIPSIC — Leipsic dropped to 7-7 with a 26-point loss to Patrick Henry.

The Vikings got a pair of 10-point outings from Jayce Brecht and Ty Lammers.

Fort Jennings 72, McComb 34

FORT JENNINGS — Jarron Swick scored 17 points, leading Fort Jennings to a runaway victory over McComb.

Calivin Menke tallied 16 points for the Musketeers (5-9).

Antwerp 62, Lincolnview 32

ANTWERP — Landon Brewer (18), Reid Lichty (14), and Carson Altimus (11) all finished the night in double figures for the Archers.

BRYAN — Jase Kepler paced the Golden Bears with 19 points.

OTTOVILLE — Ottawa-Glandorf improved to 15-1 with a nine-point win over Ottoville behind a career-high 20 points from Katie Kaufman.

The Big Green fell to 12-4 after the loss.

Lima Senior 45, Marion Harding 42

LIMA — Lima Senior picked up a narrow home victory over Marion Harding thanks to a 16-point, seven-steal outing from Anya James.

Mallory Gipson added 13 points and grabbed seven boards in the win.

Spencerville 57, Riverdale 43

RIVERDALE — Heidi Keller set a new career high with 27 points, knocking down six threes in Spencerville’s win over Riverdale.

The Bearcats also got 15 points from Clara Goecke.

Columbus Grove 42, Miller City 37

MILLER CITY — Columbus Grove used a balanced offensive effort to hold off Miller City.

Lauryn Auchmuty led the way with 13 points for the Bulldogs, followed by Nicole Nesby with nine and Kendal Patle with eight.

Grove led 21-16 at the break and held on by breaking even 21-21 with the Wildcats in the second half.

Maddie Erford paced Miller City with nine points, while Ava Ruck and Jordan Schnipke added eight.

Bluffton 41, Pandora-Gilboa 33

PANDORA — Bluffton bounced back from a three-point third quarter to hold off Pandora-Gilboa for an eight-point win.

Ayla Grandey scored eight of her 13 points in the fourth quarter for the Pirates. Blair Utenforf added five in the final frame.

Pandora-Gilboa got 13 points from Savannah Knueven and 10 from Ava Huffman. The pair scored all 10 of the Rockets’ fourth-quarter points.

Kalida 50, Holgate 20

HOLGATE — The Wildcats used a 30-point win over Holgate to improve to 9-5 on the season.

Leipsic 48, Continental 10

LEIPSIC — Ava Henry nailed four threes, leading Leipsic to a decisive victory over Continental.

The Vikings dominated the first half 23-2. Jazelle Perez added 10 points, three boards and three assists in the win.

For Continental, Morgan Shock had three points, while Olivia Crossgrove and Tori Searfoss each added two.

Lincolnview 55, Hicksville 15

MIDDLE POINT — Lincolnview outscored Hicksville 30-4 in the first half and cruised to a 40-point win.

Emerson Walker dropped a game-high 19 points, including a pair of triples for the Lancers.

Lincolnview is now 9-7 overall.

Arcadia 52, Hardin Northern 30

DOLA — A pair of 12-point performances from Liberty Voges and Addy Coleman sent Acrdia past Hardin Northern.

Heidi Trachsel paced the Polar Bears with 10.
