Roundup: Allen East remains undefeated in league play

Allen East 65, Ada 45

ADA — Allen East outscored Ada by at least five points in each of the first three quarters in a lopsided win.

Carson Clum paced Allen East (6-4, 2-0 Northwest Conference) with 20 points. The Mustangs remains atop the NWC standings with Bluffton and Spencerville. Brady Brooks added 13, and Ethan Young tallied 12.

For Ada (2-9, 0-3 NWC), Zack Zimmerman had the hot hand with 16 points, including three 3-pointers.

Lima Senior 81, Waite 14

LIMA — Lima Senior trounced winless Waite at the Spartans’ abode.

Lima Senior is now 7-4, 5-1 in the Toledo City Athletic League. The Spartans led 59-12 by halftime.

Waite falls to 0-13, 0-5 in the TCAL.

Shawnee 67, Defiance 43

SHAWNEE TOWNSHIP — Beckett Bertke had 21 points, nine rebounds, four assists and four steals to lead Shawnee to a Western Buckeye League victory.

Trevick Bertke added 17 points, 10 rebounds and two blocks for the Indians (8-4, 3-0 WBL). Nick Pasion added 14 points.

Defiance (4-7, 1-2 WBL) didn’t have a player with double-digit scoring.

Elida 50, Bath 32

ELIDA — A’mari Wash scored 18 points for Elida, which rallied from a three-point halftime deficit with a 31-10 edge in the second half.

Elida is now 9-2, 2-1 in the Western Buckeye League.

Bath (0-10, 0-3 WBL) saw an 11-point night from senior Trey Crawford.

Leipsic 61, Columbus Grove 59

LEIPSIC — Leipsic used an 18-9 run in the second quarter to battle back from an early deficit and then held off Columbus Grove at the end.

Tyler Lammers paced the Vikings (6-5, 2-1 NWC) with 20 points. Jayce Brecht added 19 points, and Tavis Bejarano had 10.

Columbus Grove (5-4, 1-2 NWC) looked to Kyle Hopkins for a team-high 18 points, while Trenton Barraza and Landon Best each scored 11.

Kalida 59, Fort Jennings 56

KALIDA — Kalida earned its first victory of the year with a balanced scoring attack of six players gathering at least eight points.

Logan Kerner led the Wildcats (1-11, 1-1 Putnam County League) with 11 points, while Jaxon Hoffman, Jacob Siebeneck and Braylon Smith each had 10 points.

Fort Jennings (3-8, 0-3 PCL) looked to Jarron Swick for a team-high 19 points, including four 3-pointers. Calvin Menke had 15.

Miller City 63, Continental 29

MILLER CITY — Miller City outscored Continental 39-12 in the middle two quarters to turn a one-point game into a blowout.

Three Wildcats (9-3, 3-1 Putnam County League) players scored 10 points, including Brendan Barlage, Ethan Barlage and Jude Otto.

Continental (1-13, 0-3 PCL) looked to Mason Rayle for a game-high 14 points.

Spencerville 67, Lincolnview 42

MIDDLE POINT — Spencerville improved to 8-3, 4-0 in the Northwest Conference with a road victory.

Lincolnview fell to 4-7, 0-3 NWC.

Ottoville 63, Delphos Jefferson 43

DELPHOS — Ottoville improved to 11-2 with a nonconference win on the road.

Delphos Jefferson looked to Karder Agner for 23 points.

Ottoville’s top scorers were not submitted Friday night.

Pandora-Gilboa 60, Vanlue 21

VANLUE — Pandora-Gilboa remained undefeated at 12-0 with a win at Vanlue.

POSTPONEMENTS

Several games were postponed due the wintry mix falling Friday afternoon, including Fort Recovery-Delphos St. John’s; Perry-Hardin Northern; Ridgemont-Temple Christian; and Waynesfield-Goshen-North Baltimore.

Also, Elida’s game against Bryan on Saturday has been postponed.
