PHILADELPHIA – Several Ottawa-Glandorf track and field female athletes competed at this past weekend’s New Balance Outdoor National Meet.
Senior Alexa Fortman, who garnered three first-place finishes at the OHSAA State Track and Field Championships earlier this month, recorded a personal-best time of 2:08.38 in the 800 meters and placed ninth overall. In the 400, Fortman placed 32nd overall with a time of 57.32.
In the 3,200-meter relay O-G (Corinne Closson, Olivia Fenbert, Anna Buddelmeyer, Rose Turnwald) placed 27th in the Championships Flight in a time of 9:51.96.
In the 1,600 relay, O-G (Fenbert, Closson, Averie Fox, Fortman) finished eighth in the Rising Stars Division (3:59.16).
