Ohio State quarterback commit in top 10 at Elite 11 competition

COLUMBUS — Ohio State four-star quarterback commit Air Noland continues what’s been an impressive showing at the Elite 11 competition bringing together the nations’t top quarterback prospects.

Day 2 meant a chance for coaches to put the 20 quarterbacks through a pro day scenario. The workout judged them on 20 consecutive throws in hopes of finding out which of them has the best arm. The drill judged them on accuracy, touch, pace and endurance as they worked their way down the field being challenged to do so in eight minutes as everyone else watched.

The best possible score to receive is a 50, which former OSU quarterback C.J. Stroud accomplished on his way to winning MVP honors during the 2019 competition as a member of the 2020 recruiting class. Current Buckeye Kyle McCord scored a year-high 45 in 2020 as part of the 2021 class.

After ranking third among the participants on Day 1, the four-star Noland followed up that performance by finishing tied for ninth in the pro day with Georgia commit Ryan Puglisi, Ole Miss commit Demond Williams and TCU commit Hauss Hejny.

Alabama five-star commit Julian Sayin posted the highest score with a 49, though he could’ve had a higher score had he not attempted a jump pass on the final deep ball attempt. Other notable scores include former OSU commit and current Georgia five-star commit Dylan Raiola and Notre Dame four-star commit CJ Carr putting up a 44 to tie for third while Michigan five-star commit Jadyn Davi s posted a 39.
