FORT WORTH, Texas — With its sweep of Indiana State, Texas Christian and Shawnee graduate Logan Maxwell secured a NCAA baseball super regional championship and a berth in the College World Series.
Maxwell, a sophomore outfielder, is hitting .290 with two home runs, a pair of triples and four doubles, 18 RBI and 20 runs.
TCU opens CWS play at 2 p.m. Friday against Oral Roberts at Charles Schwab Field in Omaha, Nebraska.
Indiana State’s roster included Elida grad Brayden Lybarger.
