LIMA — The annual Fingerling Fish sale is back. The Allen Soil and Water Conservation District is accepting orders starting today until Monday, May 8. The fish available for purchase this year include Yellow Perch, Largemouth Bass, Red Ear Shellcrackers, Bluegill, Channel Catfish, Japanese Koi, Hybrid Bluegill, Fathead Minnows and White Amur.
According to a recent press release, the live fish must be picked up from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 16 at the Allen County Fairgrounds. Community members who have purchased fish are required to bring clean containers with scent-free garbage bags filled with pond water.
